The soup luncheon was a success. Bowls were beautiful, soup, etc. delicious – a good time for those attending! Thanks to Thelma, Gwen and their committee for making this fundraiser successful!
The Club has been asked to go to Harvard Park School again this year to do ceramics. This is a reward for the children with good behavior. SCCC has done this for several years. Lots of fun for the kids and club members! The dates are February 27, 28 and March 1 from 9am-11am. Thelma will need 6-8 helpers each day. You don’t have to attend all three days. If you can help out, please let Thelma know.

Our studio’s basement has undergone a spectacular renovation in the past two months, in preparations for an official debut in time for our Spring Table Setting Luncheon. It is MUCH MORE than the floor. One extra feature is the possible installation of more decorative display rods in the basement. The projected cost for each of the eight proposed display rods is $40, which covers the purchase and installation of wooden stairwell rods (14 feet long), decorative brackets for mounting to the wall, and drapery rings with clips for hanging wall art. The board voted unanimously to support this proposal and ask members to consider sponsorship of one display rod. This sponsorship will defer costs to the club. If you are interested in donating, donations should be directed to our Treasurer, Diana Hunt, 61 Foresters Lane, Springfield, 62704. If donations exceed the projected budget, funds will be directed into the general fund.
